The Bloomington Pickleball Club was established with a mission to promote recreational and competitive play while creating a positive and inclusive experience for all. From humble beginnings, our club has flourished through collaboration and partnership, particularly with the City of Bloomington’s Parks and Recreation Department. Together, we have worked tirelessly to enhance public courts, organize events, and introduce pickleball to new enthusiasts across the community. As we look to the future, our commitment to growing pickleball in Bloomington remains steadfast. The purpose of the Bloomington Pickleball Club (BPC) is to promote the growth and enjoyment of pickleball in the Bloomington, Indiana area. The club aims to develop and enhance both recreational and competitive play at public courts, providing a positive and accessible experience for the entire community. Key goals include:

  1. Community Engagement: Foster a welcoming environment for players of all ages and skill levels, encouraging community participation and social interaction.

Steven Jackson was the Volunteer of the Year for his unwavering dedication to volunteering for club activities, events, or administration.

2023 Leadership Award

Timber Tucker was awarded the Leadership Award for demonstrating exceptional leadership qualities, be it in organizing events, mentoring players, or representing the club at external events.

2023 Outstanding Attendance

Paul Ertel, whose exceptional dedication is celebrated with the Outstanding Attendance Award, having attended the highest number of club events and meetings throughout the year.

2023 Community Spirit Award

Patrick Counts receives the Community Spirit Award, recognizing his significant contribution to fostering a sense of community and camaraderie within the club, through organizing social events or helping new members.
