Recommended Pickleball Court Rules
When courts are full the Bloomington Pickleball Club recommends Paddle Up rules using the paddle rack to rotate on/off the courts.
To use the paddle rack:
- All four players come off the court and put paddles in the rack for the next turn.
- Put paddle in rack (left to right).
- When a court is vacated, next four paddles take the court.
- Move the marker to the next group of four paddles.
- Play to 11.
- When game finishes, the next four players play.
These fair play practices include the following:
- The system can be used for all 6 courts.
- Share courts – play one game, then next four paddles play.
- Limit warm-up time when other players are waiting.
- No singles play when courts are full.
- One paddle per person in the rack system.
The Bloomington Pickleball Club values your feedback and reporting of any issues with the paddle rack system. We encourage good sportsmanship and respect for fellow players.
